How we treat?

Self-compassion training is especially useful when you, or your child, experience perfectionism, the tendency to create an overly narrow definition of success and to catastrophize mistakes.  Perfectionism is also a driver of anxiety and poor mental health and needs to be addressed in treatment.  You learn how to experience the common humanity all people share and to take a kind and patient perspective toward your own mistakes, limitations and humanity.
