Tourette Syndrome & Tics

What is it?

If you, or your child have found medication to be inadequate or too difficult due to side effects, you can learn cognitive behavioral interventions to reduce or eliminate your tics.

How we treat it?

Successful treatment, called cognitive behavioral intervention for tics (CBIT) involves learning how to ignore and suppress the urge to tic by using subtle competing movements.  If you are willing and able to practice, you can often dramatically reduce or even eliminate many of your, or your child’s tics.
