Stephanie Visjager has been a dedicated nurse since 1997, with a broad experience spanning inpatient, outpatient, and psychiatric residential settings. Working with both children and adults, she has held key management roles and developed a significant expertise in psychiatry and mental health. Stephanie is currently a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at The Anxiety Center, where she delivers comprehensive mental health services including medication management, psychotherapy, and innovative treatments like transcranial magnetic stimulation and IV ketamine.
Stephanie’s journey in nursing began after she graduated from the Good Samaritan School of Nursing, followed by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Saint Joseph University. She furthered her education with a Master’s in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her commitment to mental health care is also reflected in her previous roles at Thriveworks and Beech Acres Parenting Center, where she coordinated holistic care solutions for clients and managed pharmacological needs.
“I have always believed in the profound impact that compassionate care can have on individuals struggling with mental health challenges. My passion lies in bridging traditional psychiatric treatments with innovative therapies that cater to the unique needs of each client. Exploring new possibilities in therapy, such as equine therapy, is something I would love to do in the future. Spending time at the barn with my daughter and her horse enriches my understanding of how nature and animals can provide comfort and grounding. These experiences not only enhance my personal life but also inspire my professional aspirations. It’s a privilege to help clients rediscover their strengths and embrace their journey toward healing and well-being.”
