Philosophy of Care

Erica Roth approaches her work with warmth, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit. She values meeting each patient where they are while helping them build the skills and confidence to face the challenges that anxiety, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and trauma can create. Erica draws on gold-standard treatments while integrating mindfulness, self-compassion, and values-based approaches to promote both symptom relief and long-term resilience. She understands the “why” behind symptoms is just as important as learning how to overcome symptoms.  She works to create a safe, supportive space where patients can explore, practice, and grow.

Special Interests

Erica enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety disorders, OCD, and trauma-related concerns. She enjoys helping individuals break patterns of avoidance, strengthen distress tolerance, and reconnect with personally meaningful activities. Erica incorporates her Yoga Teacher Certification to support mind–body awareness and self-regulation in treatment. She is committed to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care and has experience supporting survivors of sexual violence and individuals from marginalized communities.

Outside the therapy setting, Erica enjoys exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods, practicing yoga, hiking, and spending time with her family and her dog, Ruthie.
