Philosophy of Care:
Caroline utilizes her natural warmth and positive demeanor to make clients comfortable, providing a supportive, understanding environment in which to undergo positive change. Personable and warm, she has an instinctive gift in working with children, adolescents and teens (as well as adults) and utilizes her sense of humor and easygoing personality to built rapport. She incorporate parents and family members into the treatment process, offering valuable guidance and support so that everyone can work toward the same goals. Caroline utilizes evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy and exposure and response therapy that have proven successful in treating anxiety. She tailors her treatment plan to each client’s needs, offering practical solutions that result in decreasing symptoms and improved overall wellbeing.
Caroline specializes in treating anxiety, OCD, and related disorders as well as behavioral disorders such as ADHD or school refusal. While she treats individuals of all age groups, she particularly enjoys working with children and adolescents. She employs a variety of treatment techniques in addition to cognitive behavioral therapy, including mindfulness, animal therapy, and art therapy.
Caroline understands the importance of work/life balance, and prioritizes spending time with family, friends, and most importantly, her dogs! She finds joy and stress relief through dance, playing piano, and walking or biking along the lakeshore.
Experience and Training
While attending the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Caroline earned her Masters in Clinical Psychology, specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents. She has completed additional coursework in anxiety-related disorders and pursues continuing educational opportunities to maintain her expertise. Caroline has extensive experience and training in treating individuals of all age groups from a variety of different ethnic and religious backgrounds. Caroline has successfully treated individuals diagnosed with anxiety, ADHD and related behavioral concerns, depression, and bipolar disorder.
